It’s hard to believe that the first Reunion registration deadline (September 1 for 100% refund) is right around the corner. Even if you don’t plan to attend any of the weekend events, please submit your contact information via this website on the ‘Submit Your Contact Info’ page at the top of the page. (So far we have contact info on only 120 classmates.) The ‘Who’s Coming’ page is updated as incoming registration forms are processed.

Some of my fond childhood memories are the ones relating to the Fire Department’s Annual Ice Cream Social. My father was Captain of Station 3, so for me the Ice Cream Socials rated right up there with the Ox Roast.

Speed forward 45 years …….. The Washington Township Fire Department will be celebrating its 66th Ice Cream Social this Sunday, August 10, at Station 44 at Clyo Road and Centerville Business Parkway. The department will demonstrate its service capabilities including car fires, automobile extrications, fire extinguisher demonstrations, rope rescues, ladder climbs, sprinkler room demonstration and a visit from Miami Valley Hospital’s Care Flight. There will be games for children, antique fire truck displays, and plenty of great fire house cooked food! YUMMY food!
